Are you tired of being immature, and would like
to take your mature level up the rope a lot? Read on to find out how.
1. Start off by wearing better clothes, if you're not already.
Get
rid of the baggy pants. You don't have to go out in top-notch suits, but get
something without words or logos. Of course, when going to formal events always
dress appropriately. Never wear T-shirts or jeans. If you are a boy, a suit
would be fit for the occasion. For girls, a dress. Depending on the occasion,
if it is a serious event, do not wear your brightest dress with flowers, go
simple, you don't have to do black, but don't go in hot pink.
2. Use table manners.
While
eating, chew with your mouth closed and silently. Nobody likes to hear the
sound of your food being eaten. Never cram food into your mouth, take one piece
at a time. Wipe your mouth with a napkin regularly. Always remember
"Excuse me" and "Thank You"
3. Don't fool around or loiter.
During class, don't
talk to your friends or chew gum. Pay attention to the teacher. If your teacher
doesn't like you now, she will definitely like you and be polite to you when
you're polite to her. If something funny happens, for example someone falling
out of their chair. Control yourself. Don't laugh so much or so hard.
4. Don't argue or get into fights.
If someone disagrees
with you, don't over-load. If you start swearing, yelling, and using physical
contact, people won't see you as mature anymore.
5. Be friendly and kind.
Smile at people and
help others who need it. If someone drops their text book, pick it up. If
someone's pencil sharpener falls out of their desk and the pencil shavings pour
out, help the person clean up the mess. Be happy and friendly.
6. Don't use slang or swears.
If you don't hear what
someone says, instead of "What?" say "Pardon?". If you
don't understand the directions to something, instead of "huh?" say
"could you please repeat that again, I didn't hear it correctly". Improve
your vocabulary too. Instead of "Do you want some help?" say
"Would you like some assistance?" Swearing is just a big no.
7. Don't be rough.
If
your always rolling around or getting yourself into some dirty mess, don't.
This doesn't mean you have to give up your sports, but don't be rough when not
necessary.
8. Don't whine or brag.
Whining to your
parents because you want something won't get you anywhere. Showing that you are
mature, will. Bragging is plain immature, and you shouldn't do it.
9. Use good hygiene.
Bathe
daily and wash your hands after using the bathroom. When you feel a mess
rolling down your nose, grab a tissue. When you cough, respect others and cover
the cough with the crook of your arm. If you are going through puberty, respect
other people's noses and wear deodorant.
10. Take other things into consideration.
What other things are
obvious immature signs? Take those out of your life. What are obvious mature
signs? Bring them into your life.
11. Be organized.
If
you have a messy desk, people won't trust you to take care of things. Take some
time to clean out your work space.
12. Be responsible.
Clean
your dish after dinner. Clean the cat's litter box. Wash the dining table.
Water the flowers. Doing these will make your parents happy.
13. Be happy!
By
becoming mature, your parents will let you do more!
14. Don't tease.
Don't
tease anyone and don't fall into teasing, such as tempting or tempted or being
bullied or bullying. Temptation is a dangerous thing and can put you in a troubling
place, but if you can suppress the idea of temptation, it mentally stabilizes
you for greater situations.
15. Don't get over angry.
When something is
angering you, walk away from the situation and take some time to cool down. Do
some hobbies to get the idea off your mind.
· If you get so angry
you feel you're about to yell, go to the restroom, splash some water on your
face, and calm down.
