Meet Sophia Omotola Omidiji One of The Influencers

Our Personality of the week goes to 18-years wonder Striker of FC Eindhoven women team, Sophia Omotola Omidiji (born June 18, 1997) is a Nigerian football player. She currently plays for the Nigerian U-20 Women National team and is signed to Dutch Club FC Eindhoven women team. Omidiji is known for her speed, strength and killer instincts in front of goal.

Omidiji was born and raised in Las VegasNevada and played high school football for Sierra Vista High School where she is the all-time leading goal scorer including scoring 38 goals in her final season. She also played club soccer with Las Vegas Premier Sports Academy for coach Eyal Dahan.

Omidiji's father Lateef Omidiji was born and raised in Lagos but is an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria while her grandfather- Bili is also an indegene of Abeokuta, Ogun State but was born and raised in Iju Ota in Ado/Ota Local Government Area. Her middle name "Omotola" is a yoruba name meaning a child is as worthy as wealth. She has three younger brothers- Lateef Jr, Rasheed and Amir. She stated that her long term goal is to own a professional women team in Nigeria and at some point coach women football in Africa and plans on getting UEFA coaching licenses while she's still playing.

She was quoted during interview with goal.com that she desired to play for Nigeria and it's the best thing that will ever happen to her.

It's a good thing to honour such a brilliant person with great ideas and hope for the future.
